Aspire is a huge name in the vaping industry, with legendary tanks like the Atlantis basically changing the vaping game, the Nautilus being a staple for mouth-to-lung vapers, and plenty of excellent mods and other atomizers filling their line-up. The Quad Flex is among the newest Aspire creations, and it’s definitely something special. It’s four atomizers in one. The kit includes a top-deck RDTA, a standard RDA, a squonker RDA (where juice is fed up to the deck through the 510 connection) and the Nautilus X, all in one package.

The Aspire Quad Flex Survival Four in One Atomizer Kit presents itself as one of the most versatile atomizer systems available anywhere, offering four methods of vaping including the critically acclaimed Nautilus X platform, a RDA, a squonk RDA, and a RDTA system, complete with an incredibly diverse array of caps, accessories, and hardware. This versatility makes the kit a very tempting option for vapers in need of a new atomizer, and for anybody who likes both RDAs and direct-to-lung devices and the occasional mouth-to-lung vape. So is the kit worth picking up?

It sounds like something you’d need to survive if you ever get stranded in the middle of nowhere with no way to call for help, but the Aspire Quad-Flex Survival Kit is actually an atomizer Swiss army knife that allows you to switch between four different atomizer configurations – a Genesis-type RDTA, a dripper, a squonker RTA and the popular Nautilus X tank – just by swapping the different components included in the package. It’s definitely something we haven’t seen before so I feel that Aspire deserve kudos for innovation even before we get started with the actual.

The Quad Flex Survival Kit was designed by Aspire to fully offer a complete range of vaping options in one easy to assemble kit, and does so by offering two decks complete with a full array of sleeves, caps, and drip tips. From what I can tell, the Quad-Flex began life as a Nautilus X compact (22 mm diameter) MTL flavor tank. From there, Aspire’s designers reverse-engineered it to make possible the transformation into an RDA or a Genny-style RDTA, both of which involve swapping out the factory Nautilus X clearomizer head for a dual-post four-hole Velocity-style deck. Mixing and matching the various pieces will result in up to four distinct vaping options.

In base RDA mode, the build deck features a two post, dual terminal design that can be paired with either a top airflow or a side airflow sleeve depending on preference and needs. An included squonk center pin can be easily threaded on to effectively turn the Quad Flex into a viable squonk compatible platform. Additionally, the RDA base can also be assembled with the included Nautilus X base hardware that then changes the platform into a RDTA design, complete with a 2 milliliter capacity filled either through the dedicated ports located within the deck or via removal of the deck and top cap.

Finally, the Quad Flex Survival Kit can be assembled into a Nautilus X coil driven system, complete with Aspire's U-Tech airflow for fantastic flavor recreation. The most complete atomizer system available today, the Aspire Quad Flex Survival Four in One Atomizer Kit makes a firm claim as the most versatile system offered on the market.I’m not going through talk about each component included in the kit, they are fairly easy to figure out and are conveniently letter-coded to make the charts easier to read.

What I will say is that you get an extra frosted-glass tube for the tank configurations, which is always nice for butter fingers, as well as a small box of goodies (some organic cotton, a couple of Clapton coils, spare post screws and a bunch of o-rings). The machining on all the components is impeccable – no scratches, sharp edges or nasty oil, and the threading is nice and smooth.

Design-wise, the Quad-Flex RDTA is nothing special, just another high-quality atomizer that does what it’s supposed to. The two-post Velocity design of the deck offers great airflow, and you can expect both thick clouds of vapor and amazing flavor while vaping on it.
