With the GQ Blue Beast Kit mod, Chinese manufacturer GQ introduces giant refillable cartridges that are extremely easy to use, and pairs them with an ergonomic and surprisingly well-performing vaporizer. In my humble opinion, this innovative yet practical combination has all the makings of a big hit and the potential to change the casual vaping sector for the better, much better.

Pod mod systems offer convenience – plug-and-play simplicity – at a price. As anyone who uses closed-system-vapes (or pod mods) knows, the cost of buying replacement pods soon adds up. Some pods are only good for about 200 puffs, then they’re out. Either you have to replace, or try to refill and hack. Wouldn’t it be great to have something with the ease of use of a pod mod, which offered vapers more freedom and choice? Then along comes GQ Blue Beast Kit, with a device quite unlike anything we’ve seen before. It’s shaped like the Penguin and certainly wins points for being adorable. But don’t let its cute appearance fool you.

Things do not usually flourish in captivity, the simple operation system greatly eases things up for vapers and even starters can use this kit with no trouble or confusion. The tank cartridge is refillable with decent e-liquid capacity, which will definitely offers you an earthly enjoyment.

It has a distorted oval shape with the built-in plastic drip tip rising out of the removable cartridge.GQ Blue Beast Kit offers five color combinations to choose form, but if you’re into penguins, I definitely recommend the black and white combination.It’s a decent-looking kit, but as we all know, it’s how the contents come together, and their performance that really matters at the end of the day. The mod looks like it’s made from zinc alloy.

The GQ Blue Beast Kit has just one button, a large plastic fire button. It doesn’t rattle at all, is nice and clicky when pressed, and requires only the slightest bit of pressure to activate the battery. The plastic may feel cheap to the touch, but it’s actually a very responsive fire button. The only other noteworthy elements on this vaporizer are the LED battery indicators and the microUSb charging port. There are five LED lights located right under the fire button, which light up white whenever you use the mod. When the battery is full, all five LEDs will come on, and as you deplete the battery, they will go out one by one.

Ergonomically the device is a joy, fitting perfectly in the hand with smooth, rounded edges and corners. The large firing button protrudes minimally out from the body and has a little give to it. No button rattle however. Directly underneath is the micro USB port, so the Penguin can be charged standing upright. GQ Blue Beast Kit comes in compact design with simple operation and it's extremely easy to use. With great performance, Blue Beast can offer large massive vapor cloud it looks cool and beautiful with OLED lights. This is a vaping kit for everyone. The Penguin is turned on and off with five clicks. Battery life is indicated by five small LEDs located between the firing button and USB port. The lights automatically adjust to display how much battery life you have left.

The Blue Beast is an awesome device. It’s simple to use, ergonomic and performs like an advanced vaporizer. Yes, it has some flaws, like the absence of a cutout to see the level of e-liquid in the cartridge, and the airy airflow slot that makes MTL vaping difficult, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Also, the its light weight and plastic inserts may give some people the impression of a cheap build quality, but this is one surprisingly sturdy mod. It just happens to be pocket-friendly and ultra-light. While the simplicity and ergonomic design of the Beast is sure to appeal to beginners and casual vapers, its most interesting feature is definitely the refillable cartridge.
